If you are anything like my husband, one of the greatest perks of getting a pup is having a guaranteed buddy for outdoor activities. Long walks, beach days, or hiking the trails, the dog is going along every time. This also means that all of the dog’s essentials are going along for the ride as well. Have you ever been stuck without a bowl, and had to make one from your hands so your dog can get fresh water? Yeah, so have I. This led me on the hunt for an all-in-one bottle and bowl to take when out with the pup.

The bottle is very lightweight and comes with a removable lanyard that you can clip to your belt, bag or wear around your wrist for a hands free experience. Even when filled to its max 15.2 ounces, the bottle remains easy to tote around.

User Experience
One of the first things I noticed about this bottle is that it fits the cup holder in the car. For me, this is a huge score, as it means I won’t have to search for it under the seats after a car ride.
The bottle itself is super user friendly. Click and hold the button on the front and the water will fill the bowl for your pup to drink. When he or she is done, click and hold the button again and the unused water will go back into the bottle. As far as our dog Maverick goes; he happily drank from the bottle without issue.
My main concern with the Sofunii Dog Water Bottle is its durability. Maverick is a small dog (he weighs around 8 lbs), and a puppy so as you can imagine there are unending amounts of energy. That being said, he also views the bottle as a toy. He was dragging it around with him for part of our walk, and while it didn’t sustain any damage I would worry if a larger dog were to get hold, or if I were to drop it on concrete it would break fairly easily.
I also like how easy the clean-up is. If Maverick has decided to drag the bottle through the dirt, a quick wipe will clean it away. So far, the mechanism that allows the water to flow into the trough has been simple to clean as well, however I wonder if over time it may gunk up a little bit, as there is no way to clean it from the underside of the lid.

Overall, I would say the Sofunii Dog Water Bottle is worth the money. It is a great size and remains lightweight even when full which means it is easy to carry along on all of our outings. While it may not be the most durable of bottles due to the harder plastic, it has held up well in the time I’ve had it. I would give this bottle 3.5 paws out of 5.
